Day 1 arrive in San Jose picking up your 4 door 4x4 rent a SUV and drive to the Hotel Barcelo Rincon del Valle in the Sabana Sur area of San Jose. Dinner is NOT included tonight.
Day 2 after breakfast begin your drive out of San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica through the Baruilo Carillo Rainforest National Park heading for the Caribbean coast. Driving through Puerto Viejo de Limon your home for the next few days will be at the Hotel Yare in a double room including breakfast and dinner daily.
Day 3 Included in your stay at the Hotel Yare is a morning guided tour with a bilingual guide of the Cahuita National Park looking for monkeys and tucans and all the animals that live on the eastern slope of the country. Then, it is off to the beach for R-E-L-A-X-A-T-I-O-N!!!!
Day 4 Enjoy the beaches of the Caribbean on this your last day at on the Eastern coast of Costa Rica.
Day 5 after breakfast, an early morning start is in order for your drive from east to west coast to coast the Atlantic to the Pacific. You will retrace your route to Guapilies where you will turn right and follow along passing the Arenal Volcano on your way to the coastal plain the Pacific Ocean and the Hotel Iguanazul on Playa Junquillal. Here daily breakfast and dinner are included.
Day 6 This morning you may wish to relax on the deserted beaches of Playa Junquillal or just lounge around the swimming pool.
Day 7 Take the morning kayaking tour with a bi-lingual guide into the estuary viewing nature and the many animals and birds that call Costa Rica home.
Day 8 Depending the departure time of your international flight depart Playa Junquillal for the airport in Tamarindo, dropping off your car you will take the short flight to San Jose to connect with your international flight or you may have to depart the day before in which case your hotel in San Jose will be substituted for your night on the beach.
